Siemens Trans Bay Cable – HVDC Converter Stations 200kV- provided design assistance in the upgrading of protection and control, AC/DC schematics, wiring and arrangement drawings.

Cal Energy Black Rock Geothermal Power Plant, Units 1, 2, and 3 – 300MW geothermal project, Prepare process and ‌instrumentation diagram (P&ID) and PCS Distributed Control System Architecture drawings for client review.

NextLight Aqua Caliente CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) Parabolic Trough Plant Facility, 250 MW – Prepare P&ID drawings for initial client review, first phase. PG&E Vaca-Dixon, Photovoltaic Project – prepared site investigation drawings for the layout of a 5 MW fixed-axis solar panel array; and a site layout of a 2 MW fixed-axis solar panel array.

Occidental Elk Hills Petroleum, 230kV Breaker Addition – prepared one-line, AC/DC panel wiring, line protection, DC schematic, relay panel and 230kv switchyard schematic diagrams for client review.

Calpine Mankato Energy Center – prepared Civil and Structural drawings of the foundation, section and details for a service water tank heater skid.

2008

Substation Designer/Drafter, Black & Veatch, Dublin, California

Duties included drafting and design of PG&E drawings, maintaining their standards of procedures for design, schematic and wiring diagrams for circuit breaker replacements and primary/back-up relays for line upgrades of their distribution and transmission system protection using MicroStation V8. Duties also included training other newly hired designers.

Duties included drafting and design of schematic and wiring diagrams of panels, terminal blocks, and electrical equipment designated for field production of circuit breaker replacements, transformer replacement or removal, and primary/back-up relays for line upgrades of electrical designs for distribution (69kv, 21kv & 12kv) and transmission (230kv 115kv & 69kv), system protection, control, and power system operations for substation designs using Auto CAD Map 2004 with Raster Design 2004. Coordination with project leads (designers, engineers, PM, field crews) to ensure ECN/ECO’s were implemented into project task planning, document control of substation drawing list, and the creation of substation Index to be linked with ‌AutoCAD using Microsoft Excel 2003 and file management within our corporate directory. Field survey/documentation of control houses to ensure as-built conditions were correct and updated drawings as necessary.

Duties included drafting of CATV and fiber design (Fiber-Optic Cable Systems), of aerial and underground cable for broadband residential and commercial service.
